As expected, Apple has introduced the third generation iPad Pro. Apple is launching the popular tablet with many new features in a completely new design.
The heart of the new iPad Pro is the A12X Bionic chip. Among other things, this provides an extra hour of battery life. The 64-bit processor is also supported by Apple's Neural Engine and the GPU is twice as fast as the previous model. According to Apple, it is even faster than 92% of all portable PCs.
In the benchmark test, all cores of the new iPad Pro achieved 18,106 points. By comparison, the A12 chip installed in the iPhone Xs "only" achieved 11,167 points. Apple seems to have understated its performance again. In multi-core mode, the iPad Pro can match the performance of a much more expensive MacBook Pro. A 2017 MacBook Pro with a Core i7 and 2.2 GHz achieved 21,165 points, while the version with a Core i9 and 2.9 GHz achieved 22,552 points.
