In iOS 15, Apple has made some useful improvements to the Photos app, including the ability to view an image's EXIF data. This feature is accessed via a new "Info" button, which also displays a label for the selected image, the location where it was taken, and any available information.
In addition to the information mentioned above, the Info button also shows which app on your device saved an image if you didn't take it with the camera. In our example, you can see that the image is from WhatsApp. This metadata information also acts as an organizational tag. So, if you tap the bold "Saved from" location, the Photos app will filter your library to show you all other images saved by the same app, eliminating the need for endless scrolling.

iOS 15 makes searching in Photos app easier
This means the new feature adds another layer of organization to your photos, so you can, for example, find all the pictures you have saved in iMessage or WhatsApp conversation threads without having to go into the apps themselves, cool right?! iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 will be available in Autumn this year. According to Apple, all updates will be made available as a public beta in July. (Photo by manae / Bigstockphoto)
