iOS 14.5

PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN - MAY 10, 2018: Woman pressing Apple Maps button on the Apple CarPlay main screen in modern car dashboard while driving on Spanish holiday highway - large digital display screen

The beta of iOS 14.5, which was rolled out last week, contains many new features. Now something interesting has also been discovered in Apple Maps.

iOS 14.5 adds a few new features. According to the latest discovery, Apple Maps has also been taken into account. It is reported that Apple's map application reports accidents, hazards and speed checks along the route taken. This means that as soon as a user enters an address and selects a corresponding route, Siri will report accidents and more after starting. With a swipe across the Maps interface, in the map details area, there will be a new button called "Report" in the future.

iOS 14.5: “Hey Siri, there’s an accident”

Here, users can report accidents, speed checks or other dangers - similar to other map apps such as Waze. Tapping the location automatically marks it - confirmation is not required. Users can also provide a report using voice commands. For example, "Hey Siri, there's an accident." The feature, which was used by users on Reddit discovered is currently only available in the United States. It is currently unknown whether it will be available in other countries when iOS 14.5 launches. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
