A major leak about the iPhone 12, HomePod Mini, and more has been published on the Chinese-language platform Weibo. Additional information relates to a new iPhone case and two wireless chargers that include MagSafe.
Many users are mourning the good "old" MagSafe technology. But that could soon be over. The Weibo leaker has revealed interesting details about the iPhone 12 and HomePod Mini, as well as the MagSafe technology. According to the leak, Apple is planning to introduction a new magnetic iPhone case and wireless charging accessories. The two chargers will be introduced under the names "MagSafe Charger" and "MagSafe Duo Charger," with one or both having a power output of 15 watts.
“Hi, Speed” event remains exciting
The reintroduction of the "MagSafe" brand will appeal to many fans who remember Apple's magnetically attached MagSafe power connector, which first appeared on MacBook Pro models in 2006 but, despite its popularity, was eventually discontinued across all Apple product lines between 2016 and 2019 and replaced with USB-C. In August, images were shared on Weibo showing the interior of the iPhone 12 back panel. They show a circular arrangement of magnets. At the time, there was speculation about whether these were specifically designed for Apple's upcoming charging mat. If today's information is correct, this is likely to be the case. Therefore, despite today's leaks, the "Hi, Speed" event should remain exciting. (Photo by oasisamuel / Bigstockphoto)
