Apple seems to be preparing new features for Safari, including a built-in translator, according to the latest iOS 14 leak.

The US blog 9to5mac has got its hands on an early version of iOS 14 and was able to reveal many new features. Now the blog is reporting on a feature that could give Safari on iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 an integrated translator. The feature is supposed to be able to translate entire websites without third-party tools – so 9to5mac. If the function actually finds its way into iOS 14 or iPadOS 14, the next macOS version will certainly follow suit. According to the code, users will be able to choose between two translation options. This means that every web page could be translated either automatically or on command. In addition, the company plans to integrate the translation function into other applications, including the App Store. What is particularly interesting, however, is how it works. Apparently, the feature is to be powered by the Neural Engine, which means that the feature works even without an active internet connection.

Will PencilKit be introduced in iOS 14 or iPadOS 14?

In addition, the company is working on an Apple Pencil integration in Safari. According to the leak, the option supports input with the Apple Pencil in Safari. However, the feature would be limited to iPadOS 14. This would fit with an earlier leak, according to which Apple is apparently working on the so-called PencilKit works. This means that users should be able to write with the Apple Pencil in any application under iPadOS 14. The handwritten text should be automatically converted into standard text. A function called "Magic Fill" also seems to be coming. Users could draw a shape that is automatically filled in by iOS or iPadOS. It remains to be seen whether Apple will actually integrate the above-mentioned features under iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
