Die Diskussion rund um einen einheitlichen Ladeanschluss im europ\u00e4ischen Parlament ist zur\u00fcck. Das Ziel ist klar – der Abfall soll reduziert und der Komfort erh\u00f6ht werden und was wird aus Apples Lightning-Port?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Einige Mitglieder des Europ\u00e4ischen Parlaments fordern nun endlich die Umsetzung einer in den Funkrichtlinien hinterlegten Notiz aus 2014. So hei\u00dft es in der Mitteilung mit dem Titel „Aufruf zur Einf\u00fchrung eines gemeinsamen Ladeger\u00e4tes f\u00fcr alle Mobiltelefone“ wie folgt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um den Elektronikschrott zu reduzieren und das Leben der Verbraucher zu erleichtern, wollen die Abgeordneten verbindliche Ma\u00dfnahmen f\u00fcr Ladeger\u00e4te, die f\u00fcr alle Mobiltelefone und andere tragbare Ger\u00e4te passen. In der Funkger\u00e4terichtlinie 2014 forderte der EU-Gesetzgeber die Entwicklung eines gemeinsamen Ladeger\u00e4tes und erteilte der Kommission die Befugnis, dies durch einen delegierten Rechtsakt zu verfolgen. Der Ansatz der Kommission, die Industrie zur Entwicklung gemeinsamer Ladeger\u00e4te zu „ermutigen“, blieb hinter den Zielen der Mitgesetzgeber zur\u00fcck. Die freiwilligen Vereinbarungen zwischen den verschiedenen Akteuren der Branche haben nicht zu den gew\u00fcnschten Ergebnissen gef\u00fchrt. Ein gemeinsames Ladeger\u00e4t sollte f\u00fcr alle Mobiltelefone, Tablets, E-Book-Leseger\u00e4te und andere tragbare Ger\u00e4te geeignet sein – so die Abgeordneten. Die Debatte am Montag wird mit einer Entschlie\u00dfung in einer der n\u00e4chsten Plenarsitzungen abgeschlossen. Sch\u00e4tzungen zufolge fallen bei alten Ladeger\u00e4ten j\u00e4hrlich mehr als 51 000 Tonnen Elektroschrott an.<\/p>Source, EU-Briefing<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Demnach sollen nun N\u00e4gel mit K\u00f6pfen gemacht werden, indem „verbindliche Ma\u00dfnahmen“ greifen sollen. Der Versuch, Technologieunternehmen zur Entwicklung einer standardisierten L\u00f6sung zu „ermutigen“ hat bekanntlich nicht ganz geklappt. Damals wurden Ladeanschl\u00fcsse wie Micro-USB, USB-C und der Lightning-Stecker vorgeschlagen. Doch Apple setzte sich bereits vor einem Jahr zur Wehr und verteidigte den Lightning-Stecker trotz der eigenen Bem\u00fchungen USB-C pr\u00e4senter werden zu lassen wie folgt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mehr als 1 Milliarde Apple Ger\u00e4te wurden mit einem Lightning Anschluss ausgeliefert, zus\u00e4tzlich zu einem ganzen \u00d6kosystem von Zubeh\u00f6r- und Ger\u00e4teherstellern, die Lightning f\u00fcr unsere gemeinsamen Kunden nutzen. Wir m\u00f6chten sicherstellen, dass neue Gesetze nicht dazu f\u00fchren, dass mit jedem Ger\u00e4t unn\u00f6tige Kabel oder externe Adapter ausgeliefert werden oder die Ger\u00e4te und das Zubeh\u00f6r, die von vielen Millionen Europ\u00e4ern und Hunderten von Millionen Apple Kunden weltweit verwendet werden, veraltet sind. Dies w\u00fcrde zu einer beispiellosen Menge an Elektronikschrott und zu gro\u00dfen Unannehmlichkeiten f\u00fcr die Nutzer f\u00fchren. Wenn man gezwungen w\u00e4re, diesen riesigen Kundenmarkt zu st\u00f6ren, h\u00e4tte dies Folgen, die weit \u00fcber die erkl\u00e4rten Ziele der Kommission hinausgehen. Ab 2009 hat Apple die Bem\u00fchungen der Industrie angef\u00fchrt, gemeinsam eine gemeinsame Ladel\u00f6sung zu f\u00f6rdern. Und mit dem Aufkommen des USB Type-C haben wir uns zusammen mit sechs anderen Unternehmen verpflichtet, dass alle neuen Smartphone-Modelle diesen Standard \u00fcber einen Stecker oder eine Kabelbaugruppe nutzen werden.
