WhatsApp is one of the most popular chat apps worldwide. On the list of the ten most downloaded applications in the last decade<\/a> WhatsApp ranks third. But now we want to take a closer look at WhatsApp spying.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of you know this. You - yes, you! You receive a message and don't answer it right away. The reason for this could be anything. You're eating, working, talking on the phone or reading - or - between you and me - you just don't feel like it. But now imagine that the person you're talking to is a bit special and expects a reply in the same minute. A disaster! But it can get even worse. You go online, see the message and go offline - RIP, huh? Let's assume that the person you're talking to is not only special but also a psycho. Well, that's where the app "Dasta -Tracker for WhatsApp" comes into play.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attention hobby stalkers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

First of all, anyone who actually uses this application should think deeply about their own state of mind - just a small tip on the side. Anyway. The application allows the user to track certain WhatsApp profiles around the clock - to be precise, the online times of any person, and it doesn't matter whether the person concerned knows the stalker or not - the phone number is completely sufficient. "Dasta -Tracker for WhatsApp" records the online times of the respective person and evaluates them. The stalker can then read the online times precisely in a kind of statistics. But how does something like that work? Well, the app does exactly that, like some competing applications before it. It takes advantage of a security gap in WhatsApp itself. But the problem is not new; it has been present and known in the popular messenger for years. This makes the attitude of the developers all the more annoying. This should have been improved a long time ago - but despite massive criticism, the problem has not been resolved and poses a real problem with data protection. However, users can't do anything about it - since it's a bug in the system, WhatsApp users have to live with it or switch to another messenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice<\/strong>: Hiding your online time \u201clast online\u201d is of no use at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether Dasta violates data protection and can ultimately be banned remains an open question for now.
