Apple issued a press release canceling the premiere of the new film "The Banker". The reason for this step was said to be "concerns" about the story. However, no further details were disclosed. Now Variety magazine claims to have learned the exact circumstances. According to the report, there are allegations of historical inaccuracies and sexual misconduct. Variety cites sources familiar with the case. As a reminder: The film is based on a true story about two African-American businessmen who trained a white working-class man in the 1960s and made him the figurehead of an extremely successful real estate and banking empire. Anthony Mackie plays the role of the late Bernard Garrett Sr., while Joe Morris is played by Samuel L. Jackson.
