Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 26.6. Simultaneously, updated beta versions of iPadOS 26.6, macOS 26.6 ("Tahoe"), watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and visionOS 26.6 are also available. This brings the end of the unusually late maintenance phase for iOS 26 closer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third beta follows the surprising start of the iOS 26.6 testing phase<\/a>. Unlike major releases, a .6 version isn't about new features, but rather maintenance: Apple fixes bugs, closes security gaps, and keeps the current system stable while development of iOS 27 is already well underway. With Beta 3, this process is nearing its end \u2013 a final release is expected in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
