According to a new report, Apple is planning four color options for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The new signature color is called "Dark Cherry" and is significantly darker than the Cosmic Orange of the iPhone 17 Pro. The colors of the iPhone Ultra have also been revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rumors have been swirling for weeks about a red color option<\/a> for the iPhone 18 Pro. Now, Macworld<\/a>, citing a source in Apple's supply chain, has provided concrete details \u2013 including Pantone codes. The new color isn't a bright red, but a deep, wine-red shade called \"Dark Cherry.\" Three additional color options and initial hints about the iPhone Ultra's color palette are also revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source mentions four colors Apple is working on for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. However, all are still in the development phase \u2013 mass production hasn't started yet, and Apple has canceled colors shortly before launch in the past. For example, black and steel gray were discussed for the iPhone 17 Pro, but ultimately didn't appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPhone 18 Pro: The four color options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first is Dark Cherry<\/strong> (Pantone 6076), the new signature color. According to the source, the shade is closer to a wine red than a vibrant red\u2014significantly more subdued than the striking Cosmic Orange of the iPhone 17 Pro. This aligns with earlier reports that referred to a "crimson" tone and with Mark Gurman's assessment that Apple's tested purple and brown variants were ultimately just nuances of the same red hue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
