10 years old<\/strong> will be our beloved iPhone<\/strong> this year \u2013 We can hardly believe how time flies. And yet it feels as if it has always been there.<\/span><\/p>\n

The iPhone has not only revolutionized the \u201cmobile phone,\u201d but also our entire lives. Other manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon and have repeatedly challenged the iPhone technologically and in some cases overtaken it.<\/p>\n

But what would life be without competition? After all, it is competition that ensures new developments, better usability, longer battery life and so much more.<\/p>\n

How many people have tried repeatedly to switch to Android devices and have always come back to their iPhone - with which there is often such a strong emotional attachment that often makes switching feel like a great loss.<\/p>\n

And yet some people wonder what is to come? For several years now, it seems that there have only been incremental and barely perceptible changes. Features such as wireless charging are still not available on the iPhone. Are the new features enough to justify buying a new iPhone every year?<\/em> \u2013 Some people ask themselves.<\/p>\n

But the anticipation for the new iPhone 8<\/strong>(?), after all, this year is the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone and many analysts and fans are expecting something very special. Who knows whether on Tuesday, September 12th, the new Steve Jobs Theater will not be the "One More Thing"<\/strong> which has been missing for so long.<\/p>\n

To further fuel the anticipation of the upcoming iPhone, we would like to present you the rumors in a summarized form:<\/p>\n

Several variants of the iPhone expected<\/h2>\n

Analysts agree that there will be several versions of the new iPhone this year.<\/p>\n

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus could receive the version number 7s with an internal hardware upgrade. These will continue to have the LCD display used so far.<\/p>\n

In addition to these, a completely new device could also be released. However, there is speculation about the name of this device, about whose release everyone seems to have agreed. After Apple announced the official Qi Consortium<\/a> which is concerned with the "Wireless Charging"<\/strong> Standard, it is probably safe to assume that this long-awaited feature will come. Instead of the usual standard of 15 watts, Apple is said to Japanese tech blog "Macotakara"<\/a> use the Qi-1.2.x charging standard, which only provides 7.5 watts. If this turns out to be true, it could mean that wireless charging will take a very long time. It could also mean that those who already have a wireless charger will have to get a new one.<\/p>\n

New storage sizes and higher prices<\/h3>\n

Tech reporter Benjamin Geskin wrote in a tweet<\/a>that there will be 3 different storage sizes: 64 GB for 999$, 256 GB for 1.099$ and 512 GB for 1.199$. Since US prices do not include VAT, the selling price is usually even higher. It is also clear that the 128 GB model will probably be discontinued.<\/p>\n

It is becoming apparent that the more exclusive version of the new iPhone could be delayed. According to The Wall Street Journal<\/a>, Apple is said to have had difficulties with the \u201cTouch ID\u201d fingerprint scanner integrated in the OLED display, which is said to have set back the development of the iPhone by a month.<\/p>\n
