According to recent reports, iOS 27 will see one of the biggest changes to Siri since its introduction in 2011. Instead of a traditional voice assistant, a true chatbot experience is expected, one that is much more closely aligned with modern AI systems. This would represent a clear step for Apple towards generative AI and help it catch up with other providers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information comes from a detailed Bloomberg report written by Mark Gurman, considered one of the most reliable observers of Apple's internal developments. The report describes a significant shift in Apple's AI plans, even though the company continues to publicly deny developing an additional chatbot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transition from Siri to a chatbot<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

According to the report<\/a>, Apple plans to fundamentally overhaul Siri this year. The goal is to transform the voice assistant into the company's first true AI chatbot. This would put Apple directly in competition with providers like OpenAI and Google.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
