The iPhone Fold is moving closer to mass production, and a key technical problem appears to have been solved. Apple has reportedly found a way to eliminate the creases common in foldable displays. At the same time, the supply chain is preparing to begin manufacturing the device in 2026. This brings a foldable iPhone with a flexible, book-like display within reach.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foldable smartphones have struggled with the same weaknesses since their introduction. The crease becomes visible, worsens over time, and can lead to cracks or even a broken display. In all previous reports, Apple has shown little willingness to accept this limitation.
