Apple has always been known for secrecy and controlled product launches. Nevertheless, a rare glitch occurred last week: A software tool released by Apple inadvertently contained numerous identifiers for devices that hadn't yet been announced. Shortly thereafter, the tool was withdrawn. The details were discovered by Aaron Perris, a MacRumors contributor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaks surrounding Apple products are nothing new, but when the company itself inadvertently reveals information, it carries particular weight. The file analyzed by Perris contained references to new models of the Studio Display, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, iPad mini, and HomePod mini. Even though Apple's plans are still subject to change, the findings provide a remarkable outlook. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman commented on<\/a> the leaks in his current newsletter, "Power On," and placed them in a broader context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New models in the Apple portfolio<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The data shows that Apple is working on several fronts. These include new versions of the Studio Display, a fresh generation of Apple TV, updates for the Apple Watch, a new iPad mini, and a redesigned HomePod mini. There are also initial hints of successors to the Apple Vision Pro. Mark Gurman sees this as confirmation of much of the previously known information. New Apple TV and HomePod mini models are scheduled to be released this fall. Apple, however, isn't planning new iPads until next year. Additionally, updated monitors are planned that could expand or replace Apple's current display lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision Pro between M4 and M5<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The findings regarding the Apple Vision Pro are particularly interesting. The current model still runs on an M2 chip. However, the file contained references to a new model that could possibly be equipped with an M5 chip. According to Gurman, Apple is currently also testing variants with the M4 chip. Both options are conceivable, and it's likely that the final choice will be between these two processors. In any case, it would be a manageable but important upgrade. With this, Apple is continuing its policy of regularly improving existing products without completely redesigning them each time. Especially with the Vision Pro, which is already positioned as a high-end product, a cautious, gradual update seems logical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
