Apple is developing a new operating system codenamed "Charismatic." According to Apple expert Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, this is likely the long-discussed "homeOS." The goal is to capitalize on the growing importance of the smart home sector and establish a proprietary system specifically designed for new Apple devices.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has already created four powerful platforms: iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. Each is tailored to a specific device class and forms the backbone of its operation. With "Charismatic," however,<\/a> Apple aims to enter a new area: the home. The first devices to run on this system are a planned smart home hub in 2026 and a tabletop robot expected in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Charismatic" isn't just another operating system. Rather, it combines elements of tvOS and watchOS. The planned design makes this clear. Apps will be arranged in a hexagonal grid, similar to the Apple Watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
