Safari is one of the most used browsers on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Despite this, Apple has been cautious in adding new features to the browser in recent years. iOS 26 changes that. Now, that's no longer a problem: Every page behaves like an app. If you don't want this, you can disable the "Open as web app" function when adding it. HDR images in Safari<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Five years after Safari first supported HDR videos, HDR images are now also being added. The browser displays photos with expanded dynamic range and more color detail. This means bright areas appear brighter, dark areas appear darker, and colors overall appear more natural. The feature is included in iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and visionOS 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
