With iOS 26, Apple introduced many small improvements that are noticeable in everyday use but can easily be overlooked. Some of these were mentioned at the keynote, and many others were simply added quietly. Here's a complete summary of all the known small changes in iOS 26 so you know exactly what's happening.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big features usually get the most attention. But it's often the small changes that really make a difference in everyday life. iOS 26 brings a whole host of such features\u2014some subtle, some directly noticeable. Apple has made improvements in many areas without completely turning everything upside down. Home bar becomes more discreet<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The home bar, which reminds you to swipe up when launching an app, is barely visible in iOS 26. It only appears briefly and then disappears again. This creates a cleaner look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather even without internet<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A new feature is the ability to receive weather data via satellite. This means you can get weather information even if you don't have a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. This feature isn't yet active in the current beta version, but should be available soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple Music now allows you to organize playlists into folders. This provides more clarity, especially if you have created many lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Browse folders more easily in the Files app<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Files app has redesigned its navigation and display. When you're in the Browse tab, you can now tap directly on nested folders to see their contents\u2014without having to fully open them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late Night Mode for quieter sounds<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

There's a new "Late Night Mode" in the "Sounds & Haptics" settings. This makes system sounds and notifications a bit quieter and less intrusive\u2014ideal for the nighttime hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microphone selection for Bluetooth<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If you have a Bluetooth microphone connected, you can specifically select which microphone to use in the settings under "Sounds and Haptics." This wasn't possible before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identify energy guzzlers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Battery settings now show you when your iPhone is using unusually high amounts of power at certain times. The apps responsible for this are also highlighted. Charging times can also be tracked there \u2013 even on the lock screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stage Manager for older iPads<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Even though it's officially part of iPadOS 26, older iPads now have access to the Stage Manager. This gives you more options for multitasking, even on older devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transparency can be deactivated<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If you don't like the new glass look of iOS 26, you can turn off transparency under "Accessibility." This will make the design more simple and with more contrast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
