Apple's WWDC developer conference will take place again in June. As every year, new software will be unveiled \u2013 for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, and, of course, the Mac. This time, it's macOS 16, the next major update for Apple's desktop operating system. In addition to the usual fine-tuning, four specific new features will be unveiled at the event. The focus will be on better device integration, optimized multitasking, a fresh design, and a feature designed to make using the device in the car more enjoyable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, macOS has seen mostly small, incremental improvements. Apple has focused on stability, security, and close integration with iOS. With macOS 16, the company apparently wants to implement major changes again. The goal: a more consistent user experience across all Apple devices, while also introducing a few targeted innovations that offer real value. With macOS 16 (and iOS 19 in parallel), this should no longer be necessary. Thanks to the new Captive Wi-Fi Sync, all you need to do is log in on one device. Your credentials and authentication are then automatically synchronized with your other devices. Stage Manager 2.0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Stage Manager is Apple's solution for better multitasking on Mac and iPad. It allows you to organize apps into groups and quickly switch between them. Although the feature was more heavily promoted on the iPad, it is also available on the Mac \u2013 but has been used less there so far. macOS 16 brings a revised version: Stage Manager 2.0. The new version is intended to be more stable, intuitive, and efficient. Apple is committed to giving users more flexibility in managing their windows.
