Apple has officially confirmed the date for WWDC 2025: The developer conference begins on June 9. As every year, Apple will present new software versions at the keynote \u2013 this time the focus is primarily on iOS 19. The released WWDC logo already provides initial clues as to how the upcoming iOS might look.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you're interested in Apple software or develop your own software, WWDC is the most important event every year. The event provides a preview of upcoming system versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and more. Particularly exciting in 2025 is the new design of iOS 19. Several sources speak of a comprehensive redesign heavily influenced by visionOS\u2014the operating system Apple developed for the Vision Pro headset. This year's WWDC logo seems to hint at precisely this new style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the logo reveals about iOS 19<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At the center of this year's logo is the number 25 \u2013 semi-transparent, softly rounded, and strongly reminiscent of design elements from visionOS. Back in January, the YouTube channel Front Page Tech showed an alleged rendering of the redesigned camera app, which is said to be based on iOS 19. Host Jon Prosser explained that the camera app will also be redesigned. He said it will feature transparent buttons, a cleaner interface, and a larger viewfinder. The new layout is said to appear cleaner and more airy overall\u2014a step away from the previous, rather dense layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design changes affect the entire system<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also released details at the beginning of March. He predicts that the new design won't be limited to individual apps. Instead, many areas of iOS 19 will be affected, including system apps, notifications, and likely the lock screen and Control Center. Gurman calls it the biggest design change since iOS 7\u2014which, after all, was the update that finally replaced the classic skeuomorphism design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
