While the world is talking about foldable smartphones and making fun of Samsung's new Galaxy Fold, Apple is now said to be working on a completely new product - a foldable iPad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While Samsung and Co. are dealing with foldable smartphones, Apple is said to be going a step further and working on a foldable iPad. At least that is what IHS Markit analyst Jeff Lin claims to the Chinese business newspaper Economic Daily News. However, his statement leaves many questions unanswered and observers doubtful. Lin claims to have learned that the new iPad will have the size of a MacBook display - he could not answer whether this will be 13 or 15 inches. In addition, the new tablet is said to be equipped with 5G technology and to be presented in 2020. At the end of June, Lin already made headlines with a Microsoft rumor. According to this, the company wants to foldable Surface Go<\/a> in 2020 \u2013 according to his information, the foldable iPad is Apple's answer to this. The lack of information and the fact that he did not want to give any information about his sources has left many observers in doubt - and no one else has reported such a report. As long as no other source such as Bloomberg or analysts such as Ming-Chi Kuo comment on the topic, the whole thing should be treated with extreme caution. Rumors about an integration of 5G chips in 2020<\/a> have already appeared several times \u2013 even from reputable and above all reliable sources.
