Apple yesterday announced the third beta of iOS 13 and Co.<\/a> published \u2013 and now references to a completely new feature have been discovered in the code.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While new betas usually focus mainly on performance improvements and bug fixes, it is of course not unusual for new features to be discovered in the code. The well-known iOS developer and 9to5mac editor Guilherme Rambo is known for his diligence when it comes to new beta versions. Now he has once again discovered evidence of a new feature in the code of the third beta of iOS 13. He was able to extract a new icon that shows two iPhone devices connected to each other. According to the code, this is the Setup app. This is generally activated when an iPhone device is first set up.<\/p>\n

Lots of room for speculation<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to initial information, the newly discovered symbol is supposed to show another method of data transfer. This means that users were previously able to transfer their data from an iCloud or iTunes backup to the device, but the new method should enable direct transfer of data from another iPhone model to the new one using a cable. But which cable? There is currently no Lightning-to-Lightning cable. Could this be an indirect reference to future iPhone models with a USB-C port?
