Apple's next iMac has reached an "advanced stage of development," according to a new report. The new iMac will have the same 24-inch screen size and the same color options as the current model.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the latest edition of his newsletter \u201cPower On\u201d reported<\/a> Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said the new iMac is likely to get Apple's upcoming M3 chip, internal design changes, and a new manufacturing process for the chassis. The M3 chip is said to be manufactured on Apple's chipmaking partner TSMC's latest 3nm process to further improve performance and power efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple last updated the iMac in April 2021 with the M1 chip and an ultra-thin chassis that comes in seven colors, including green, yellow, orange, rose, purple, blue, and silver. It is currently the only iMac in Apple's lineup, as the Intel-based 27-inch iMac and iMac Pro were discontinued over the past two years. Gurman had previously said that a larger iMac could return but he did not reveal any new information about that possibility today.
