{"id":35299,"date":"2022-11-29T19:03:41","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T18:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.apfelpatient.de\/?p=35299"},"modified":"2022-11-29T19:03:41","modified_gmt":"2022-11-29T18:03:41","slug":"iphone-14-pro-apple-misses-sales-target-because-of-foxconn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apfelpatient.de\/en\/news\/iphone-14-pro-verfehlt-apple-das-absatzziel-wegen-foxconn","title":{"rendered":"iPhone 14 Pro: Will Apple miss its sales target because of Foxconn?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022 will be &quot;significantly lower&quot; than market expectations due to worker protests at Foxconn&#039;s main iPhone factory in China, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kuo <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@mingchikuo\/the-total-iphone-14-pro-and-14-pro-max-shipments-in-4q22-will-be-15-20-million-units-less-than-b7c446d04607\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> today that iPhone 14 Pro (Max) production at the Zhengzhou factory had been &quot;significantly impacted&quot; by the protests over adverse working conditions, prompting it to cut its fourth-quarter 2022 iPhone shipment forecast by 20% to 70-75 million units while the market consensus was 80-85 million units. Average capacity utilization at the factory was only about 20% in November and will only improve to 30%-40% in December, according to Kuo. Kuo stated that Pegatron and Luxshare have each received about 10% of Foxconn&#039;s iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max orders and that mass shipments will not occur until late December at the earliest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kuo-iphone-14-pro-nachfrage-konnte-einfach-verschwinden\">Kuo: iPhone 14 Pro demand could simply disappear<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kuo believes the production issues could result in iPhone sales this quarter being &quot;well below the market consensus of 20-30% or more.&quot; Due to the long delivery delays and the recession, Kuo expects much of the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models this quarter will simply &quot;disappear&quot; rather than be deferred, suggesting that many customers who would have bought an iPhone 14 Pro now will not return to order the device in January or later when supply improves.
