Apple's iCloud for Windows appears to be having serious problems for some users. There are now reports that other people's photos are being displayed in the iCloud of various users.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a handful of complaints from customers who are encountering complications with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models. Videos recorded with an iPhone and then synced to iCloud for Windows turn black and have scan lines, making the videos unwatchable, as reported by MacRumors reported<\/a>. But that's not all. Even more worrying is that some users are seeing strange photos and videos appear in their libraries that do not belong to them when they try to view the corrupted videos. MacRumors quotes a reader<\/a>, who describes the whole thing as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iCloud for Windows corrupts videos shot on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, resulting in black videos with scan lines. In rare cases, it also inserts still images from unknown sources into the videos, possibly from other iCloud accounts. I was shown photos of strange families I've never seen in my life, football games, and other random photos. This is obviously extremely worrying and doesn't exactly make me feel safe using iCloud.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It is unclear whether the photos are actually pictures from other iCloud users - but it cannot be ruled out. In the thread, users saw random families, children, football games and other similar photo content. Deleting the iCloud for Windows app does not seem to fix the problem, as it is probably caused on the server side. Several people have reported it to Apple, so the company may be aware of it. Both Windows 11 and Windows 10 appear to be affected. As things stand, it cannot be ruled out that only devices with certain settings such as HDR and HEVC are affected.
