The Apple Fitness+ service is about to get a major update. Starting with iOS 16.1, users in the 21 countries where the service is available will be able to use it without an Apple Watch.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has released all the new details about Fitness+ in a press release<\/a> announced. It states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting October 24, iPhone users will be able to subscribe to and use Fitness+ in the 21 countries where it is offered, even if they don't have an Apple Watch. iPhone users will have access to the full service, with over 3,000 studio-style workouts and meditations led by a diverse and inclusive team of trainers. Users will receive on-screen guidance from trainers and interval times, and estimated calorie burn will be used to show progress on their Move ring.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Apple points out that with an Apple Watch, users can \u201cincrease their motivation even further with personalized, real-time metrics displayed on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple Fitness+: Get a three-month trial version<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Apple also announced new options to get Fitness+ for free. When purchasing an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, customers are entitled to a free three-month trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another part of today's announcement is the new content available for the fitness service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taylor Swift series<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Starting October 24, music from Taylor Swift will be available on the service for the first time, starting with a dedicated Solo Artist Spotlight series featuring newly released songs from her album \u201cMidnights,\u201d which will be released on October 21. The series dedicates an entire workout playlist to one artist. Every Monday for three weeks, new workouts featuring music from Taylor Swift will be released for different workout types, including core, cycling, dance, HIIT, Pilates, rowing, strength, treadmill and yoga. To celebrate the \u201cMidnights\u201d theme, the first three workouts will feature special lighting. Fitness+ trainers will highlight the artist in fun and creative ways. For the treadmill workout, the first letter of each coaching tip from Fitness+ trainer Scott Carvin will be combined to spell \u201cSWIFTIE.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a HIIT workout, Fitness+ trainer Anja Garcia will guide users through 13-second intervals to highlight Swift's love of the number 13. The subscription-based service is available via the Fitness app on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV and costs \u20ac9.99 per month or \u20ac79.99 per year in Germany - family sharing is included.
