Although iOS 16 was only recently released, Apple is already testing the next update of the operating system - true to the motto: Betas never end! Below we have summarized all the new features in iOS 16.1 Beta 2.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let's not waste any time and get started right away. Apple released the second beta of iOS 16.1 on Tuesday evening, which brings some interesting changes to the iPhone's charging indicator and also fixes a few bugs. Here's an overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple revises battery percentage display visually<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In iOS 16, Apple added a battery percentage indicator to the battery icon in the status bar of the iPhone with Face ID. In iOS 16.1 Beta 2, the function has been improved and now shows the charge level visually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battery icon decreases throughout the day as the battery gets lower and increases again as it charges. This lets you see the battery level at a glance even if you have the percentage indicator enabled in it. Before the second iOS 16.1 beta, the battery indicator in the status bar showed percentages but the battery level was static and always full, so it was sometimes confusing to see the iPhone's charge level at a quick glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has updated the font for the battery icon and increased the size slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lock screen battery level indicator<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When charging the iPhone, the battery percentage will now be displayed above the time, both when charging for the first time and each time the iPhone is brought out of sleep mode during charging. This allows a clear display of the progress when you tap the iPhone's display without unlocking the device. By the way: The Always-On Display does not show the charge level. On an iPhone 14 Pro model, the screen must be woken up for the charge level to be displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS 16.1: Copy & Paste bug has been fixed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The constant copy and paste prompts that iOS 16 users see have been fixed in iOS 16.1 Beta 2. You no longer have to explicitly approve each copy and paste attempt. While the issue will be fixed in iOS 16.1, it is expected that Apple will address this issue before the launch of iOS 16.1 with the iOS 16 bug fix update planned for next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No fix for camera shake<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the bug that causes the iPhone 14 Pro's rear camera to shake and vibrate has not been fixed in iOS 16.1 Beta 2. Apple has said that the problem will be fixed in an iOS 16 update next week. Accordingly, iOS 16.0.2 should eliminate the bug. If further changes emerge, we will report on them.
