As part of Apple's fall product cycle, we expect an update to the 10.2-inch base model of the iPad later this year. The new features include the A14 chip, 5G cellular, and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. Now renderings have been released that offer a closer look.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform MySmartPrice today released alleged renderings of the new entry-level iPad published<\/a>. What's particularly noticeable is that the design includes a raised camera module. The base model of the iPad may not be the fanciest but it is Apple's best-selling model as it starts at just $329 and offers good value for money. From the CAD renderings, it seems that the shape of the new generation will remain unchanged. The iPad will still have large bezels on the forehead and chin, as well as a Touch ID home button. However, the sides of the device appear to be flatter than the more curved shape of the 2021 generation. On the back, however, a new design for the camera system can be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10th generation iPad is said to be thinner than its predecessor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Similar to the older dual-camera iPhones, the camera on the tenth-generation iPad is raised in a protruding round-rectangular module. This could indicate that Apple is upgrading the camera sensor this year, making the whole assembly larger and requiring more space inside. The rear module has two holes, one for the camera lens and another, smaller hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to MySmartPrice, this looks like an LED flash, although the hole is so small that it could also be a microphone hole. The overall size of the iPad according to these renderings is 248 mm x 179 mm x 6.98 mm (W\/H\/D) - compared to 250 mm x 174 mm x 7.50 mm for the current 2021 generation.
