The next Worldwide Developer Conference \u2013 WWDC 2022 \u2013 starts in a few days. Now a new report reports on the new features in iPadOS 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new report from Bloomberg<\/a> gives us some insight into what to expect. According to the report, Apple is planning \u201cbig changes\u201d for iPadOS to satisfy \u201cprofessional users\u201d. The report comes from Mark Gurman, who also reported<\/a> has revealed that iOS 16 will include support for the always-on display of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro. Apple made small changes to the way users access the iPad's multitasking features with iPadOS 15 last year. Now it is reported that iPadOS 16 will have "a redesigned multitasking interface that makes it easier to see which apps are open to switch between tasks." The update will also offer new ways to resize app windows and manage multiple apps at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next major software update for iPad, iPadOS 16, will have a redesigned multitasking interface that makes it easier to see which apps are open and switch between tasks. It will also let users resize app windows and provide new ways to operate multiple apps at once.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The update is described as "one of the biggest upgrades" that Apple will unveil at WWDC next week. Apple's goal is to make iPadOS a "laptop experience" in terms of multitasking and window support. This isn't the first time we've heard of major changes for iPadOS 16. Changes to the WebKit infrastructure recently suggested that iPadOS 16 could introduce a new "multitasking mode" that could bring freely scalable windows to the iPad for the first time. WWDC 2022 begins on Monday, June 6th with an Apple Keynote at 7 p.m. in this country. As always, we will of course report extensively on the keynote and the rest of the week.
