The ability to warn about high blood pressure will not be integrated into the Apple Watch until 2024 at the earliest, as accuracy issues continue to delay the feature's launch.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new report confirmed<\/a> claims that blood pressure monitoring is still two to three years away and assumes that it will arrive in 2024 or 2025. According to Bloomberg, the feature is currently being tested by Apple employees. But unnamed sources say that the results are not accurate enough. This is allegedly still the case even if the feature does not display concrete values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the test version does not display systolic and diastolic readings, as is the case with regular blood pressure checks. Instead, it triggers an alert when needed and recommends users see a doctor for high blood pressure. Bloomberg reports that Samsung and other companies have already launched watches that monitor and report blood pressure, but these must be calibrated monthly with a regular blood pressure monitor.
