According to unconfirmed specs shared on Chinese social media site Weibo, the iPhone 14 Pro could deliver more detailed images thanks to a significantly larger sensor and smaller pixels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A recent article by accounts<\/a> \u201cFishing 8\u201d on Weibo lists a large number of technical specifications of the iPhone 14 Pro\u2019s camera. In line with a variety of rumors about the iPhone 14 Pro\u2019s wide-angle camera from last year, the account claims that the iPhone 14 Pro will have a 48MP camera. Due to the higher megapixel count, the pixels will be smaller, reportedly measuring 1.22\u00b5m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sensor could come from Sony<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

That's a 0.68 \u00b5m decrease compared to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The sensor is believed to be from Sony, like the one in the iPhone 13 Pro. Despite the changed pixel size, the iPhone 14 Pro will reportedly feature the same Dual Pixel Auto Focus (DPAF) system that Apple markets as "Focus Pixels" and that the iPhone has offered since the iPhone 6 in 2014, as well as the same ability to record 16:9 HDR videos at up to 60 frames per second. The device's sensor is said to be 1\/1.3 inches in size. That's 21.2 percent larger than the 1\/1.65-inch sensor on the wide-angle camera in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This increase in sensor size requires a larger lens to capture more light, resulting in a significantly larger rear camera field. The size of the 1\/1.3-inch sensor is equivalent to Samsung's 50MP GN1 sensor used in the Google Pixel 6. Overall, the information suggests that the iPhone 14 Pro will offer larger, higher-resolution images with finer details, but at the risk of poorer low-light performance and images being more prone to noise.
