Apple officially announced yesterday that the first event this year will take place on March 8th. Since there have been rumors about the event for weeks, we are of course very excited to see what is on the program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some time now, Apple has been holding its events regularly in March or April in the first half of the year. Even though no new high-end iPhones are introduced in the spring, the events generate excitement among Apple fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPhone SE 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 3rd generation iPhone SE is rumored to remain at a price of $399. In Germany, the starting price should remain the same at around \u20ac479. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says it will have the same design but will bring two important improvements - 5G and a better processor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPad Air 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rumors suggest that the 5th generation iPad Air will emulate the current iPad mini 6. It could include the A15 processor, 5G support, four speakers instead of two, and Center Stage support for video calls. The biggest changes seem to be the camera improvements. There may finally be support for 1080p video recording at 25 and 30 frames per second. The iPad Air 5 is expected to feature standard wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle camera lenses like the iPhone 13. However, it is said that the camera will not include a LiDAR scanner like the iPad Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Apple Silicon devices: Mac mini Pro?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg has already listed seven new Apple Silicon Macs that are expected this year. Additionally, Apple registered three new Macs in the Eurasian registration database a few weeks ago. The appearance of Apple devices in the Eurasian database (EEC) has been an accurate indicator of new models in the past. It remains unclear when these devices will see the light of day. According to reports from Bloomberg in 2021, a higher-end Mac mini will contain the same Apple Silicon as the current MacBook Pros. It will also have a new design with more ports than the current version. Bloomberg also claims that we will see an M2 Mac mini later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13-inch MacBook Pro<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are relatively few rumors about a refresh of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. As part of the original Apple Silicon trio, it has been identified as one of the models that has a good chance of an update soon. Since it's a similar device to the MacBook Air, it will likely receive the same internal updates, such as the M2 chip and a new FaceTime camera. However, it is not expected to have the same mini-LED ProMotion display as the larger models and will have less storage and processing power to keep the price down as an entry-level model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MacBook Air<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The MacBook Air, also one of the first Apple Silicon developments, could receive an update. Similar to the Mac mini, the updated MacBook Air is also expected to undergo a major redesign. The most obvious is a color change. In fact, the small MacBook is said to be available in several colors, similar to the iMac 24\u2033. In addition to the new color options, the 13.3-inch display could be equipped with a mini-LED backlight, like the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro. A notch in the display is also suspected so that the screen takes up more space while retaining the webcam functionality. In addition, the webcam is expected to be a 1080p component with an ultra-wide-angle lens that offers Center Stage support. Rumors also say that MagSafe will be part of the innovations. Inside, the MacBook Air is said to be equipped with the M2 chip, which is logically better than its predecessor, the M1, but cannot keep up with the M1 Pro or M1 Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 27-inch iMac with Apple Silicon<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The current 27-inch iMacs are not yet equipped with Apple Silicon. But that is expected to change. According to reports, the device will offer a miniLED display with ProMotion technology. These devices will be equipped with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, just like the 2021 MacBook Pro line. They will either be called iMac Pro or keep the name 27-inch iMac. The new iMacs are in high demand as many users need a desktop with the specifications of the MacBook Pros. The first generation of Apple Silicon iMacs with 24-inch displays were introduced at the event last spring. Will we now see a larger version? It remains exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS 15.4 release date<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Apple released the fifth beta of iOS 15.4 & Co. this week. The updates will probably be released worldwide shortly after the event. It is expected that the release candidate versions will be rolled out during the event week, while the final versions will appear around March 15th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These products are not expected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

But which products are definitely not to be expected? Long-time fans who know Apple's update rhythm will already know the answer. Since this is a spring event, we probably won't see the Apple Watch Series 8 or the iPhone 14 until the fall. It's also possible that some of the Macs in the pipeline won't appear until later in the year. A new iPad Pro is also not expected at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
