German smart home company Eve Systems today introduced two new HomeKit-compatible products: the Eve Outdoor Cam and the Eve MotionBlinds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eve Outdoor Cam is a floodlight camera that works with HomeKit Secure Video and offers 10 days of storage with an iCloud+ subscription, available from \u20ac0.99 per month. Thanks to HomeKit Secure Video, the Eve Outdoor Cam is privacy-focused and access is fully encrypted, regardless of whether the recorded footage is viewed locally or remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eve Outdoor Cam has a matte black metal frame and opaque white glass for the light component and is IP55 waterproof and dustproof. It is equipped with a 1080p camera with a 157-degree field of view and can be mounted on the wall with a three-axis hinge. The HomeKit-compatible product has an infrared night vision function and supports two-way communication via the built-in microphone and speaker. Users can receive notifications when motion is detected. Using HomeKit Secure Video, the camera can detect people, animals, vehicles and package deliveries to make the notifications more specific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the Eve Outdoor Cam, Eve is also introducing the Eve MotionBlinds in collaboration with window covering manufacturer Coulisse. MotionBlinds are HomeKit-connected blinds that are easy to set up and, thanks to Thread connectivity, respond faster and more reliably than other smart blind solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MotionBlinds are equipped with a rechargeable, battery-powered motor and support in-device schedules for precise control of positioning throughout the day. The company says<\/a>that for data protection reasons, the MotionBlinds use direct communication without cloud dependency, with all data being stored on the blinds themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to intelligent connectivity, the MotionBlinds also have a manual control function and can be lowered with a simple pull. The Eve Outdoor Cam will be available from April 5, 2022 from Eve, Amazon and at a later date from Apple for a price of 249.95 euros including VAT. The Eve MotionBlinds, on the other hand, are distributed through a growing network of Coulisse resellers listed in the store locator on motionblinds.com\/eve.
