This also applies to the MagSafe charger. Below I&#039;ll show you how to check the firmware version.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the MagSafe and MagSafe Duo chargers have their own firmware, which Apple updates when necessary. Of course, you can also easily check the firmware version. I&#039;ll show you how to do that below. There&#039;s also an advantage to all of this: If you follow these steps for your Apple MagSafe or Apple MagSafe Duo charger, you&#039;ll know that it&#039;s a genuine Apple product and not a cheap imitation that could potentially damage your iPhone.
