Now that the brand new AirPods 3 are available, the new earbuds have been subjected to a teardown. Despite the AirPods Pro-like design, there are some interesting differences on the inside.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The YouTube channel 52audio, which specializes in headphones, has tested Apple's third-generation earbuds taken apart<\/a>to analyze the inner workings. As expected, the case has been carefully glued together, making it almost impossible to repair. Looking at the new AirPods 3 charging case, we notice a new set of magnets that attach the case to the MagSafe charger, which is not the case with the other AirPods. In addition to the Lightning connector, logic board, and 345mAh battery, the case also features a graphite thermal pad to avoid any overheating issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, the AirPods Pro charging case has two separate small internal batteries while the AirPods 3 case relies on one large battery. The AirPods 3 themselves have a new skin detection sensor that is so intelligent that it is not fooled by other surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All components are connected via an FPC cable with a small battery between the speaker and the microphone. The internal battery of the earbuds has a capacity of 0.133Wh.
