Now that Apple has introduced the AirPods 3, the AirPods Pro 2 are moving into the focus of the rumor mill. According to various sources, these are due to be released next year. Now questionable images have surfaced that are said to show, among other things, the revised case.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

News channel Bloomberg has already reported that the second generation of AirPods Pro will have a "more compact" design, with the stem that currently protrudes from the bottom of the AirPods Pro likely to be completely removed. However, the report pointed out that it is difficult for Apple to remove the stem of the AirPods Pro while retaining features such as noise cancellation and transparency mode. It is therefore no easy task. Now, US blog MacRumors says it has received images from an anonymous source that supposedly show the AirPods Pro 2. If the images are real, Apple seems to have given up on the idea of redesigning the earbuds and put the focus on the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The images show the AirPods Pro with an identical design to the current model, apart from a "missing optical sensor on the bottom of each earbud." But that could be because Apple has switched to a new skin-detection sensor that we already saw on the AirPods 3 have seen<\/a>. But let's move on to the charging case. One of the images shows that the case has speaker holes, which are supposedly intended for deeper integration with Find My and allow users to play a sound to locate the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a possibility to attach a bracelet has been integrated into the case side, according to the source opposite<\/a> MacRumors. Whether these pictures really show the AirPods Pro 2 remains to be seen. Since the authenticity cannot be verified, the whole thing should definitely be viewed with a large dose of skepticism.
