Complaints were quickly documented that some app icons were not visible on the display.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first Apple Watch Series 7 users have already reported on Friday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apfelpatient.de\/en\/news\/apple-watch-series-7-owners-report-empty-app-icons\">reported<\/a>that the device was not displaying some app icons. The issue occurred in any area where an icon was displayed in watchOS. Interestingly, it only seemed to affect third-party apps on the Series 7. The issue did not occur on other models with lower resolutions, nor in the Xcode simulator, so the cause of the problem remains a mystery. In some cases, deleting and reinstalling affected apps could even temporarily resolve the error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-apple-watch-series-7-apple-aktualisiert-betroffene-apps-selbst\">Apple Watch Series 7: Apple updates affected apps itself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, the problem occurred again. Now <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jamesthomson\/status\/1449157524943482886\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">appears<\/a> Apple is tackling the bug on the server side. Apple&#039;s solution seems to be to automatically re-download the affected apps from the App Store onto the devices. The update lists for the apps say &quot;This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon,&quot; which means that it has been updated by Apple itself. Accordingly, a watchOS update does not seem to be necessary. So anyone affected should keep an eye on the App Store over the next few days.
