Apple has redesigned and restored the magnificent Palazzo Marignoli in Rome and is now making it the site of the 17th Apple Store in Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple will open the Apple Store Via del Corso in Rome on May 27, 2021. Ahead of the opening, the company detailed how it worked on the store, which Apple describes as one of its \u201cmost significant restoration projects.\u201d explained<\/a> Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's senior vice president of retail:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can't wait to start a new chapter in Rome with the opening of Apple Via del Corso. The new store celebrates the unique history and art of Roman culture and we hope to inspire the creativity of the local community with our Made in Rome program and future Today at Apple sessions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The new Apple Store is located in a building originally built in 1873 by architect Salvatore Bianchi. It was famous for housing the Caff\u00c3\u00a8 Aragno, frequented by writers, artists and actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple Via del Corso: The 17th Apple Store in Italy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Apple has restored several works of art that were in Caff\u00c3\u00a8 Aragno and these are now on display in the new store. Contemporary ceiling paintings have also been revived in collaboration with local restorers, as has a marble staircase dating back to 1888. Apple Via del Corso is the 17th Apple Store in Italy and marks the first-ever "Today at Apple Made in Rome" program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with over 40 local artists, the sessions, initially held online, will cover topics such as music, art, design and more. The new store in Rome continues Apple's commitment to setting up Apple Stores in historic buildings that the company can then preserve.
