In Apple&#039;s case, that effort will likely include an appearance by Tim Cook. As Apple&#039;s figurehead, Cook will likely have to answer tough questions and claims from Epic&#039;s lawyers as he tries to convince the court that Apple is not operating a monopoly with its App Store. Although he is well-versed in public appearances and has testified before Congress, Cook has apparently done some homework before appearing in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-tim-cook-zeugenstand-wird-simuliert\">Tim Cook: Witness stand is simulated<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Apple CEO is said to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/apple-set-to-call-tim-cook-soon-to-witness-stand-to-fight-monopoly-claims-11621245604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">loud<\/a> Sources told the Wall Street Journal that he has prepared for his appearance by taking practice rounds with former prosecutors selected by his legal team to simulate the expected experience on the witness stand. Apple has already told the court that Cook will speak about the company&#039;s core values, as well as other topics about competition and how it operates. Cook is also expected to speak about the economic benefits of the App Store&#039;s existence for developers and that Epic&#039;s lawsuit is an attempt to get a better deal for itself from Apple rather than for altruistic goals.
