Apple announced a new feature in Apple Maps this evening via press release. According to this, Apple Maps and Siri will now be able to display COVID-19 vaccination centers in the USA.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has implemented a new feature for Maps and Siri that includes COVID-19 vaccination centers. Specifically, users can view operating hours and links to other important information. Apple Maps and Siri support for COVID-19 vaccination centers is powered by VaccineFinder. In the press release, Apple explains how it will work. Apple today updated Apple Maps with COVID-19 vaccination sites from VaccineFinder, a free online service developed by Boston Children's Hospital that provides the latest vaccine availability for eligible people at providers and pharmacies across the U.S. Users can find nearby COVID-19 vaccination sites using the search bar in Apple Maps, by selecting COVID-19 vaccinations from the Find Nearby menu, or by asking Siri, "Where can I get a COVID vaccine?"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The vaccination center section includes hours of operation, address, phone numbers, and a link to the provider's website. There, Maps users can learn more about available vaccines and book appointments. The initial rollout includes more than 20,000 locations, according to Apple.
