Now it is reported that a decision could be announced in the coming weeks. According to Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/eu-apple-antitrust\/exclusive-eu-antitrust-regulators-ready-apple-charges-on-spotify-complaint-sources-idUSL5N2L264X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declared<\/a> Two sources say Apple may be served with a so-called statement of objections. This so-called &quot;charge sheet&quot; typically contains a fine but also what steps the company must take to stop its anti-competitive practices. There is no confirmation yet of a fine or charges.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-apple-kartellrecht-auch-gro-britannien-will-ermitteln\">Apple &amp; antitrust law: Great Britain also wants to investigate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>There is also no indication of what measures Apple will be required to take. However, Reuters reports that according to its sources, the EU could force changes to Apple&#039;s business model - via lawsuit if necessary. Spotify originally complained that Apple was restricting access to its technologies such as Siri. In 2020, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek stated that the company was now allowed to &quot;finally use Siri to build in voice assistance.&quot; News of the EU&#039;s alleged decision comes shortly after the UK announced a similar competition law investigation.
