Rumors surrounding the iPhone 2021 series have increased in recent weeks. Now a camera upgrade is said to be more likely.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The well-known and well-informed Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out again and commented on the iPhone 2021 series. In a letter to investors, Kuo explained that a major camera upgrade is now much more likely. Kuo writes that supplier Sunny Optical has successfully completed verification of the iPad 5P lens and is expected to begin shipping the components in the middle of this quarter. "Sunny will ship about 15 percent of these components for the iPad." It remains unknown whether this is intended for a current model or a new device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What should now be clear, however, is that the successful verification of the iPad lens means "that the likelihood of the 7P wide-angle lens being delivered for the new iPhone 2021 has become more likely." Apple's iPhone 12 lineup<\/a> currently has an ultra-wide-angle camera with an f\/2.4 5P lens. A 7P lens helps increase the amount of light, which significantly improves the quality of the images. Kuo had previously reported that Apple will upgrade the ultra-wide-angle camera in the iPhone 2021 "Pro" lineup to an f\/1.8 6P lens with autofocus.
