The following are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>car stereo<\/li><li>headphones<\/li><li>hearing aid<\/li><li>Speakers<\/li><li>Other<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from the inherent value that Bluetooth devices have on the iPhone and iPad, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple<\/a>that the new feature will do two things. First, correct device identification will provide improved audio notifications. Second, Apple states:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Specifying the device type can ensure that headphone noise level measurements are accurate.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Headphone noise level detection to prevent hearing damage was first introduced in iOS 13 and watchOS 6. This feature has recently caused a lot of trouble.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ios-14-4-bluetooth-ger-te-richtig-klassifizieren-so-gehts\">iOS 14.4: How to correctly classify Bluetooth devices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>So, to assign a Bluetooth device to one of the five categories, you need at least iOS 14.4 or iPadOS 14.4 or newer. Then open the settings and navigate to the Bluetooth section. Now tap on the small &quot;i&quot; symbol next to the respective Bluetooth device.
