First and foremost, Apple is expected to introduce a new version of the entry-level AirPods in a completely new design. Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that the new third-generation AirPods will have a new form factor and design "similar to the AirPods Pro." However, Kuo did not provide any details. The second-generation AirPods were originally released in March 2019 and brought with them "Hey Siri" support and Qi wireless charging. The general design and form factor of the white earbuds has remained the same since their original release in December 2016, so a revamped design would certainly not be a surprise. Bloomberg reported in October that Apple plans to introduce new entry-level models with a shorter stem and replaceable ear tips, confirming Kuo's report that the design will be similar to the AirPods Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
