Diabetics would also be able to measure glucose levels \u2013 without the need for a lancet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-optische-messung\">Optical measurement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple&#039;s ambitions to advance further in the healthcare sector with the Apple Watch have been known for years. The latest patent underlines this. The application deals with the topic of optically recognizing substances. The sensor should be able to determine desired values without contact - to be precise, this should be made possible by light energy. The complex part is differentiating between different substances - blood sugar measurement should already be possible. The description reveals a lot of technical information - practical procedures are hardly discussed.
