Mac users have not had access to iTunes since last year. The situation is different for Windows users. Now reported<\/span><\/a> the Italian website Aggiornamenti Lumia, according to which Apple is preparing to launch a new app in the Microsoft Store. However, it was not explained which application this is. Since Apple buried iTunes last year, it stands to reason that Windows users could now also get a successor. Perhaps an Apple Music app? Last year, the Cupertino-based company hired engineers to "develop the next generation of media applications for Windows" - remember. At the time, Apple explained that the position required experience with the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), which is essentially the modern Windows app platform. Although iTunes has been available in the Microsoft Store since 2018, it is still the classic desktop software and not a UWP app. So it's safe to assume that iTunes is now being replaced.
