Simply holding the device up to the terminal initiates the payment process. Last night, Tim Cook announced with the words &quot;<em>Apple Pay is launching in Germany later this year<\/em>\u201c \u2013 the wait is over. The community was thrilled \u2013 Apple Pay will be introduced in Germany this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Agreements with individual financial institutions are necessary for payment processing - Apple has to conclude separate contracts for this.
