In iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and macOS 11 Big Sur, not only new features were implemented but existing apps were also expanded. Voice memos are also new.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has launched a multitude<\/span><\/a> of improvements and optimizations. The existing application for voice memos was also taken into account. This has been available on iPhone and iPad for a long time. However, the app only arrived on macOS in 2018. It is a Catalyst project, which is why the range of functions is the same. One of the new features is called "Optimize Recordings." According to Apple, the function is designed to reduce background noise and room reverberation with a single touch. Once a recording has been created, the user sees a small icon that is similar to the auto-adjustment function in the Photos app. Details about how this function works are unclear, but Apple touts its simplicity. The feature could be particularly interesting for podcast creators who want to create their audio content directly on the iPhone, iPad or Mac. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voice memos \u2013 well organized<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Since newer devices have built-in studio-quality microphones, the expansion makes sense. Other new features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can organize your voice memo recordings in folders.<\/p>

Smart Folders<\/strong> \u2013 These automatically group Apple Watch recordings, recently deleted recordings, and favorites.<\/p>
