Some observers believe that Apple is planning to merge iOS and macOS with the Catalyst project. Apple has already denied this. But now a rumor has been discovered that there are iPhone prototypes that run macOS based on Apple Silicon. Previous rumors have documented ideas according to which the iPhone could serve as a trackpad, for example. Where the journey will actually lead or end for the end user remains to be seen.
