But now the time has finally come \u2013 Apple Pay is now supported there too.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks announced the launch of Apple Pay in early December 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apfelpatient.de\/en\/news\/apple-pay-germany-volksbanken-postpone-start\" class=\"ek-link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" class=\"ek-underline\">delay<\/span><\/a>The reason given was technical problems with the implementation. The new launch date was announced for April 2020 \u2013 and it worked. From today, customers of Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken can use Apple&#039;s mobile payment service <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bvrpresse\/status\/1252490374750363648?s=21\" class=\"ek-link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" class=\"ek-underline\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">use<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I set up Apple Pay?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>In order to use Apple&#039;s payment service on an iPhone, Apple Watch or Mac, the user must of course go through the setup process. However, the Apple Group has made this very simple. The basic requirement is, of course, up-to-date software for the respective iDevice, a functioning Apple ID and the appropriate credit card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up on an iPhone, iPad or Mac:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To start the setup, you need to open the Wallet &amp; Apple Pay area in the system settings. Then press the command &quot;Add a new card&quot;. You will now be asked to make a selection and make an entry. Finally, press &quot;Next&quot; and the system will check the entries and decide whether Apple Pay will be activated. Some providers require additional verification to activate Apple Pay - the respective bank will make a corresponding request for this. Once the activation is complete, Apple Pay can be used immediately. By the way: If you want to see the transactions you have made, you can access the transaction history directly via the Wallet app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting up on an Apple Watch:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To activate Apple Pay on an Apple Watch, the same steps are necessary as for the other devices. Only the access differs.
