Rumors that Apple wants to introduce a Mac with an ARM processor have been around for a long time. But now there is a concrete date - 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The well-known and accurate Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a new forecast that also includes an ARM-based Mac. According to this, he expects Apple to introduce a Mac with its own processor in the first half of 2021. In recent years, there have been many reports that Apple is working on its own core for Macs - but there has not been a concrete date so far. Kuo emphasized again that the funding of research, development and production of 5nm chips, which are expected in the first Macs with ARM CPUs, is being made more aggressive due to the coronavirus epidemic. The reason is Apple's plan to integrate the first 5nm chips into iPhones and iPads this year. Mac devices are to follow in 2021. It is generally expected that the first 5nm chips will be delivered to Apple in the middle of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
